The new email integration allows you to use Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail or other web SMTP email services. It is easy to set up a webmail service in the Preferences and start emailing from QuickBooks your own email account.
The old QuickBooks Email through Intuit servers will remain available to active subscribers. (Payroll, credit cards, Enterprise, etc.) What is new is the fact that you can set up more than one email account. You can even select which one you want to be the default email address.
Click Edit, preferences, send forms, and move the dot to web mail, then click add to add the various email addresses. These are preferences set by the individual, not the company as a whole.
